| Please pray...My mom is having surgery tomorrow (well I guess actually today) at 3pm. She getting a total knee replacement and won't be able to work for a while. So money is going to be tight for awhile and I'll be supporting the fam for while. My mom will be in the hospital till Friday. Thanks all! :) | | |
| Opps! So I never really got a chance to finish my posting yesterday (I was at work). Anyway...as I was saying working is going well and I'm really enjoying it, though I do miss being on the medical/surgical floor and miss all the fun 3rd shift people. Along with working 40+ hours a week I am helping out the Sr. High youth group. I have a small group of about 6 girls and have so much fun with them. Its fun to hear about high school and the help them understand that the same struggles they are going through I went through also. So life is going well, not quite as busy as I was in school, but its good from right now. Some times I feel like I don't have a life but I am learning to trust God more and more each day and He is teaching me how to 100% depend on him. I know that wants I get my head wrapped around this concept of leaving all my plans to him and truely depen upon Him, that He will give me the desires of my heart. Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention, next weekend I'm goint down to CU to see my little sis and a couple of old friends...I'm super excited for a weekend away from Zeeland :) | | |
| Wow, does time fly. I can't believe the last time I posted was Dec 20th. Things are going well. I've been training in the Maternity (OB) department for about 6 weeks out of the 14 weeks. Its going great and I'm loving every aspect of it. Though there have been those days that I get sick of hyper-hormonal women! :) Every day I've worked I have gained confidence my nursing skills as a OB nurse. I have had some quite unusal deliveries so far in my training. For example just last week the nurse who was training me and I had to deliver a baby...the doctor did not make in time. During the delivery of the baby, the cord snapped and the platenta was still inuteral. Very tense situation, but both mom and babe where fine. The mom had us sign the birth certificate and get a picture with the babe, b/c we were the ones that delivered the baby. | | |
| Hi everyone!! I am currently traveling somewhere between Cozamel and the Grand Caymans on a cruise. It has a been amazing so far. Here is a quick run down of what I have done so far... sun bathed in sunning, 80 degree weather while being waited on hand & foot ;) massage by a guy (1 1/2 hrs long!!) and wrapped in a seaweed burrito (i'll explain later) partied out in cozamel and of course lots of shopping!! There will be more to come once I come back from my trip. I hope all is well and since I probably won't have a chance later...Merry Christmas everyone!!! Love you all!! | | |
